Dear friends, family,
Holla!
Well im on the first leg of the journey* sitting in the bussleling charrolette airport with a 3hr layover. For those that have been following teethandpaws (another blog) you will be privy to the adventures of the past several months working for the Glenns on the farm. Doing hard work everyday in a beautiful setting has done so much good for my soul (not to mention my health). Im so thankful to the glenns for hosting taylor and I.

So now I'm on my way to Denver and in a couple days Colorado Springs for intern training with eMi(engineering minstries international) and then a trip on a big silvery eagle to my new home in Atenes Costa Rica.
Im still a little in shock that Im finally, after several years of dreaming about it, working for eMi. As I was waiting for my first flight at Dulles I was a bit scared, worried that I am not ready, or the right person or something. I started writing out my concerns, failures, etc. After I wrote all those out I felt the need "to be still and listen."
Several min. later I opened up the bible randomly and the Lord showed me this passage.
Isaiah 41 particularly verses 1-10 and it sent chills through me. Read it. It is one of those passages that hit me right were I was at, and I feel greatly encouraged. Truly ready to go.

So you may be asking what am I go..ing to do.
Well back when I was in college.... I studied architecture and wish to one day be an architect. I have felt the Lord guide me to this point and put in me a heart to use this abiltiy to honor him and love people. eMi is such a great opportunity to be an architect and use my abilites to honor God and love people who truly need it. I will be involved in a project in Hati developing a facility for YWAM ( youth with a mission) to host groups doing mission work in the country. My responsiblites will be working with our head project architects developing the sites master plan and construction documentation by the time I head home in Dec.

So this is a dream! To be doing something I feel like I was designed by God to do. Pretty awesome. So keep up with the blog I'll do my best to have something each week as time allows.
Grace and Peace
Nico
